This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect the information of restaurant operators, their employees, and customers when using our Cloud Point of Sale (POS) and inventory platform.

To provide our multi-tenant SaaS services, we collect several categories of information:
- Account Information: When you register a shop, we collect the owner's full name, phone number, email address, password, and shop details.
- Operational Data: We store details about your products, categories, ingredients, recipes, costs, and expenses required to compute your P&L analytics.
- Transaction & Billing Data: We log customer orders, sale types (dine-in or takeaway), payment methods (cash, card, or QR), and tax/discount calculations.
- Employee Details: Shop owners may register user profiles for their cashiers, tracking login credentials and system activity.
2. Multi-Tenant Data Isolation
We employ strict multi-tenant database isolation policies. Every table containing tenant operational data is scoped using a unique identifier:
- Each record is tagged with a `shop_id` corresponding to your business.
- An automated database layer interceptor scopes all queries, preventing cross-tenant leaks.
- Only authorized users associated with your approved shop ID can query, modify, or view your inventory, sales, and report metrics.
3. How We Use Your Information
The information we collect is utilized to operate, maintain, and optimize the QuickPOS LK software:
- Order Processing: Processing food orders, printing receipt files, and tracking cashier actions.
- Inventory Management: Dynamically updating ingredient levels, warning when stocks are below minimum settings, and logging wasted materials.
- Reports and Auditing: Compiling daily, weekly, monthly, and product-specific sales and expense records to help you monitor business profitability.
- Support Services: Troublshooting bugs, performing database migrations, and offering support services.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
QuickPOS LK does not sell, rent, or trade your operational, product, or sales data to third-party advertisers. We may only disclose data under the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: Sharing billing or server hosting metrics with trusted infrastructure providers hosting our cloud instances.
- Legal Obligations: When forced to comply with statutory legal processes, government demands, or judicial processes in Sri Lanka.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
We use cookies and local storage tokens to facilitate user authentication and interface preferences:
- Session Cookies: Critical cookies to maintain active login sessions for owners and cashiers.
- Local Preferences: Custom options, such as the tactile font scaling settings (A-, Reset, A+) used inside the POS Billing Terminal.
